Intelligent design

"What's intelligent design?" my 15 year old daughter asked.

"It teaches that God created the universe and made man, as taught in the book of Genesis." I replied.

"Well...that sounds okay," she pondered. "But don't many people think God created man out of the dust of the ground and then with a sinful mind that gets into lots of trouble?" She queried.

"Yeah." I agreed.

"Well, that doesn't sound like a very intelligent design." She added. "And it doesn't sound much different then Darwin's theory which claims man evolved from the "mindless dust of the ground."

She had a point!

Christian Science explains that God created man in the divine image and likeness. God is a Spirit. God's image is spiritual. God's man did not evolve from dust, or from dense matter in the ancient cosmos. The eternal man exists in Spirit at-one with God now, and forever expresses the divine intelligence.

Now that's an intelligent design!
